About The Office

The Skagit County Clerk’s office is part of the executive branch of government, independent of the judiciary, elected to represent the public as the administrative and financial officer of the Skagit County Superior Court.

The office is a highly technical one, whose goal is to protect the integrity and accuracy of the Court records and preserve for the public expeditious access to a fair, accurate, and independently established record of opinions, decisions, and judgments of the court.

Whether researching a court ruling, obtaining a passport, or beginning a court case, the Clerk’s office is often the very first contact a Skagit County resident has with our court system.

That’s why we expanded passport services, including online scheduling for a passport appointment. It’s why ours was the only Skagit County department whose office and public lobby remained open for all but seven weeks of the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s why my office implemented 24/7 online court filing capability, and why I championed renovating a customer service counter to be ADA accessible. Each experience with our office should increase confidence in our court system. I am running for re-election as your Skagit County Clerk because I am committed to that ideal. I love what we do and the community we serve.

Please feel free to look around this site, learn a bit more about my background and continuing vision for the Clerk’s office, and be sure to use the Contact link to ask any questions you might have. I would greatly appreciate your support in continuing the work my office has done to maintain and improve confidence in our judicial system.
